The Social Affairs Board (SAB) operates in the field of the European Social Dialogue and European social policies.
One of the main goals of the Board is to help CEEP in making the voice of public services and SGIs employers heard in the European arena and by that to influence European policy and legislation and to have an impact on industrial relation at European, national and local level.
When it comes to negotiations of Social Dialogue agreements by the European cross-sectoral social partners, the CEEP delegation is made up of members of the SAB. This is also the case for the representation of CEEP in the Social Dialogue Committee which is the main forum for bipartite social dialogue at the cross-sectoral level. The SAB is also in charge of drafting all CEEP’s answers to consultations launched by the European Commission in the field of social policies, in the context of articles 153 and 154 of the TFEU.
The Board works in a plenary composition and through its 4 Task Forces:
- Education & Training Task Force
- Health & Safety Task Force
- Macro-economic Task Force
- Social Protection Task Force
