The Sustainability Board has been created in 2013 to facilitate and structure the work related to transversal issues and which do need the contribution of experts coming from different horizons.
The aim of the Board is to guarantee a smoother lobby work towards the European institutions through the work achieved by the Sustainabiltiy Task Forces (communications, energy, environment, transport & water).
The main issues tackled this year in the Sustainability Board are climate change, resource efficiency and unconventional fossil fuels. The achievements of that Board are very useful at EU level as they already result from a work taking into account a great variety of stakeholders and interests and striking a balance between them.
